Today we went to the farmers market as a family. There is one only a few blocks away from us every Saturday morning. We put Yaeli in the stroller sitting up during her awake time so that she could observe everything around her, and walked for about 10 minutes each way. It was really nice to not only go for a walk all together, but to buy fresh food from local farms and vendors. The couple of times we went to the market before Yaeli was born, we imagined that this would be something wonderful to do with our kids: Go for a walk on a Saturday morning, look at all the different fruits and veggies, try the samples, and pick out the best ones as a whole family. Although Yaeli is too small to try samples or pick out the produce she would want to try, it was still really fun and special to do it with her. And the stroller made a great carrier so that we didn't have to shlep all the food we bought back home!
